Topic: “Should schools require students to do regular community work?” Explain your opinion, give advantages and disadvantages, include a personal or imagined example, and ask your partner one related question.
Lehetséges megoldás
I think community work can be valuable if students can choose from several activities. It teaches responsibility and lets young people meet others outside school. For example, helping at an animal shelter could develop teamwork while doing something useful. On the other hand, compulsory work may feel like punishment, especially when students already have a heavy timetable. Schools should therefore offer flexible times and recognise different family situations. I would support a small number of hours each term. What kind of community project would you personally choose?
